THE STORY

In the bustling city of San Francisco, amidst the vibrant music scene, fate brought together two passionate musicians: Alexa Lace and Hardy Hemphill. Alexa, with her captivating voice and love for Shania Twain’s music, was in town for meetings, while Hardy, a seasoned musician and former music director and band member for Shania Twain, had settled in the Bay Area after decades on the road.

Their paths crossed one day at the San Francisco Yatch Club where they had lunch together with a common friend who had put them together. Alexa told Hardy about her love for Shania’s music and admiration for Shania as an artist. As there was a piano in the restaurant, Hardy suggested they should improvise a couple of Shania songs.

As they strummed and sang together, a spark ignited—a shared passion for Shania’s music and a mutual desire to bring her iconic songs to life in a fresh, dynamic way.
Over a dinner and a glass of great Napa Valley vine, Alexa and Hardy began to envision something greater—a tribute to Shania Twain that would pay homage to her legacy while infusing it with their own unique style and energy.

With Hardy’s wealth of experience and expertise as the former music director and band member for Shania Twain for over two decades, he was the perfect partner to help bring their vision to fruition. He accepted the role of musical director for the tribute without hesitation, eager to lend his talents to this exciting new venture.

Together, they assembled a band of incredibly talented musicians who shared their passion for Shania’s music. From guitarists to drummers, each member brought their own flair and dedication to the project, ensuring that every note and every beat was infused with the same passion and authenticity that Shania herself and her band, led by Hardy, had brought to her performances.

For three months, they poured their hearts and souls into rehearsals, fine-tuning every aspect of the show until it was nothing short of perfection. The energy in the rehearsal room was electric, fuelled by their shared love for the music and the anticipation of bringing the Shania Twain Experience to audiences around the world.

Finally, the day arrived—their debut performance. With nerves tingling and excitement coursing through their veins, Alexa and the band took to the stage, ready to share their love for Shania’s music with the world. As the first chords of “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” filled the air, the crowd erupted into cheers, swept up in the infectious energy of the performance.

From that moment on, the Shania Twain Experience took off, captivating audiences wherever they went. Each show is a celebration of Shania’s music and legacy, brought to life by the incredible talent and passion of Alexa, Hardy, and the entire band. And as they keep spreading joy and nostalgia with every performance, they know that they had created something truly special—a tribute to Shania Twain that would stand the test of time.
